Hearst Castle review

If you can only imagine a living dream then, it’s a real-time fairy tale to take a glance at the Hearst Castle that lies at the foot of Big Sur, California with over 144 rooms in which 36 are bedrooms. Named after William Hearst, this creates a lot of insight as he was the one who inherited the great castle that now stands.

The Hearst Family

Before, it was made up of a ranch owned by his father George Hearst, a rich miner that only had purchased it for 40,000 hectares but then he made it grow up to 250,000 acres where his family and friends can enjoy camping out, sleeping into elaborate tents and dining. The time he inherited the ranch in 1919, he chosen architect Julia Morgan made the castle happen by designing it on an impressive, breath-taking extent. The castle also has its small museum that is open from 9 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon where it showcases works of art around and memorabilia of the original owner. By visiting the museum, people can also take four different tours around the exuberant house masterpiece—different parts of the house, the enormous gardens and pools. Tours can take for two hours, ranging from $10 to $14 dollars. Indeed, summer season brings a lot of reservations.

William also takes some of his time with his publishing company and movie studio while getting busy with moving 33 cypresses for Paso Robles that lasted for two years. Also, beyond his contentment, he replaced his single tower with two, having it replanted and uprooted with plum trees, each of which was 3 inches.

For many years of tearing down the hill and rebuilding a guest house took it 25 years to finally finish the construction of Hearst Castle. With its beauty and brilliant design, this castle serves as vacation opportunity for elite Hollywood superstars, spending parties and guest invitations having William’s opulent room to stay. They may also take note of their foot trails as some of the tiled floors contain real gold including the mosaic indoor pool and lots of paintings and sculptures that surround the castle having popular Spanish and Italian touches in furniture.

Hearst Castle also makes it easier to have an access to great hiking spots and picnic parks where you can drive up to parks and hotels such as Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Parks or the nearby hotels up the Highway 1, sharing best views of the Pacific. Get ahead north towards Monterey passing Carmel and reach for the city at the north of Big Sur as you watch the landscape. Surely it gives one whole unforgettable adventure.
