I have been in Vegas in 2007 and 2008, here a short review of Las Vegas. I must say that I did not enjoy LV when at the first time. I was only able to see Las Vegas at daylight. It was really hot, too hot for me. The year after I booked a night in a hotel. I was able to see Las Vegas at night and it was awesome :-). I put The city of joy, the city of late night parties is one of the most popular cities in the whole world. People with a lot of money and with a mood for a lot of fun will come to the city of Las Vegas and spend their days there. Las Vegas is one of the most colorful and one of the most famous cities which is alive all day and night and all through the year. The city of Las Vegas is located in the famous Mojave Desert. The city of Las Vegas is one of the most popular and awesome city in the Nevada state. Las Vegas is usually known as the Clark County seat. Las Vegas is known for one of the most passion able entertainment centre. The city of Las Vegas is the major hub for several gaming industries, a lot of shopping centers and the last but not the least several entertainment companies. In fact the city of Las Vegas is known as the world’s most famous entertainment capital. Not only entertainment in the form of games or shopping, but also there are also several adult entertainment activities which the city of Las Vegas is very tolerant to. This is the main reason that the city of Las Vegas is also known as the sin city. The name sin city has been used in a lot of movies with reference to Las Vegas. This city is so popular among all the other cities in the world. The city of Las Vegas is alive all through the day and especially all through the night. The night life of Las Vegas is one thing that any one should not miss. This is because the whole city is decorated with a lot of lights and each and every day the city is in a decorative and in a festival mood. The lights are in such a way that even at night the city of Las Vegas will look like it is early morning. The growth of this city is matched by none of the other cities and this city continues to grow at such a fast rate. The city of Las Vegas never sleeps.

The city of Las Vegas got its name from Spaniards from the party of Antonio Armijo. This is because while going towards the west and the northern areas from the place of Texas, he used the water. The city of Las Vegas consisted of a lot of wells filled with water which was very useful in the growing of a lot of green areas and other forms of meadows. Meadows in the Spanish language means Vegas and thus the city got its wonderful name of Las Vegas.

The economic growth of this city was a little slow in the beginning. It was considered a stop over for people who are travelling on to the west. Las Vegas became a rail road town in the early period of 1900s. The surrounding areas consisted of a lot of mines. Hence this city was seen as a point where everything could be moved on to different locations and especially to move the goods out of the country. One of the major changes to the city of Las Vegas came in the form of the Hoover dam which proved to be the major turning point for this city. The construction of the Hoover dam led to a continuous and important growth in tourism. This dam began the development of Las Vegas and with continuous coming of tourists to this city; the city began to develop at a rapid rate. Another important factor that led to the splendid growth of this city was the legalization of gambling. Because gambling was legalized, more and more number of people and tourists began to visit this city to earn a lot of money. Because a lot of money started pouring in to this city, Las Vegas began to prosper.

Las Vegas is famous mainly for its casinos. Casinos were started almost immediately after gambling was legalized. The casinos became the single most important factor for the development of this city. Lots and lots of tourists thronged this place and started gambling legally. Casinos were merged along with five star hotels to ensure that many of the tourists staying in the hotel will be able to make use of the casinos and gamble their money. People who visit the city of Las Vegas usually do so either to shop and spend their money or gamble their money in any of these casinos. Gambling was the most frequent hobby in this city of Las Vegas.

Another most important and famous thing that happens in Las Vegas is the grand weddings. Here people get married almost each and every day of the year. Marriage halls are always full and everyday at least some 50 couples get married. They say that marriages are made in heaven; many people consider the city of Las Vegas as heaven and get married here. Marriages are done in a very glamorous fashion with a lot of pomp and splendor. Marriages are very popular here because there is no sort of waiting period or legal documentation procedure prior to the weddings. The numbers of people who get married in Las Vegas are huge each and every year. Last year an average of 122000 couples got married and this year the list just seems to be growing. The legal age for getting married in Las Vegas is 18 for both the bride and the bride groom. Also not only the people from the United States but people from all over the world come to the city of Las Vegas and get married. For the other country residents, the marriages can be done with out any sort of legal issues. After the marriage the marriage certificate is provided for the couples for a small pay. Additional certificated of marriage can also be obtained from the Nevada secretary by paying some extra cash. Because of all these less legal things, people come to the wonderful city of Las Vegas and get married.

The city of Las Vegas is thus a wonderful place to spend your vacation in. I believe that at least once in their life, a person must visit this glamorous city and have the fun of their lives.
